SoCalGas Alert: BTS Rate Increase, Biennial Assessment Ruling

SoCalGas filed its Annual Regulatory Account Balance Update on Oct. 15, proposing a double-digit increase in its Backbone Transportation Service rate for 2027 as part of a broader $687.8 million transportation revenue increase. (This projection is subject to change in late December, when SoCalGas files the version of its update that includes all final, authorized changes.)

Separately, the CPUC is seeking comments on revisions to the Aliso Canyon biennial assessment methodology, including how planned and unplanned pipeline outages factor into gas system reliability modeling.
