Flexible Service Connections: CPUC Proposal Would Make Controlled Load a Standing Alternative to Distribution Upgrades
On July 7, Commissioner Darcie Houck issued a proposal in the CPUC's High DER Future docket (R.21-06-017) that would make flexible service connections a standing distribution-planning tool for the large investor-owned utilities, not just a stopgap for energization delays.
